Big Red Mining Corp. has an option to acquire 100% of The Dobie Lake Copper Property.
Located in Albanel Township approximately 32 km Northwest of Elliot Lake and 40 km North of Blind River - approx. 100km from Sue Saint Marie, Ont.
The Dobie Lake Property comprises 131 claims totaling 2,630 Hectares (6,500 Acres) with open ground to the southwest and east along extensions of the known copper bearing structures, which would allow the property to be expanded.
The first concerted effort on the exploration of the copper potential was carried out in 1965 by Canamiska Copper Mines.
The 3000-meter-long EM + Soil copper zone extending from the area of nine drill holes averaging 0.42 % Cu/5.3m.
In addition, the hole contained 5.35%, 1.29% and 0.68% copper (with traces of gold and silver) and drill intersections up to 0.9% Cu over 13 ft (4m) at 53.0-68.0 feet
(16.15 to 21m).
The mineralized structures, having a combined strike length of over 8 kilometres, are considered to represent a class of polymetallic quartz veins and/or Cu-Au-bearing veins and breccia pipes commonly found within the Proterozoic Huronian Basin.
